Series Project
This project had us take multiple photos to create a series which is where multiple photos relate to one another in some way and are displayed together. Since this was done during the covid pandemic, the professor wanted the theme to be covid related. Devin decided to showcase various emotional/mental states that people may go through during covid because everyone experiences emotions so this was a great way to connect the class.
Still Life
The goal of this project was to take photos of still objects in a natural and professional sense. Natural meant taking photos in settings of which they belong so breakfast on the table in the morning. Professional meant setting up and taking photos in a controlled and serious environment. This project was fun for Devin because it made him think how he should present the object than just merely taking the photo. Lighting and perspective were vital for this assignment as they provide detail and life.
Real Estate
These photoshoots were practice takes for Devin to experiment in real estate/architecture photography. To be in small or large, light or dark, and different textured spaces which these various houses bring. Devin has always enjoyed looking and touring houses, so combining this passion with photography has opened a new combination of interest for him as a career in the future.
